SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY
The representation of clients before the Social Security Administration is
limited to claimants who have already applied for benefits but have been denied.
At this point, the client's case will be accepted provided it is felt that
we can be of assistance and, in fact, the majority of the appeals to an Administrative
Law Judge are successful.
SSD fees are set by law at 25%, limited to a maximum of $6,000.00 payable from
the proceeds of a successful appeal. The average fee is about $3,800.00. Normally
there are no additional monies owed for expenses but occasionally it is necessary
to retain a vocational expert. This would be discussed with and approved by
the client beforehand
